Marcus Garvey Village
When completed, Marcus Garvey will be composed of 4 residential towers and more than 500 units. More than 60% of the units will be truly affordable. Carthage has already completed two of the 4 buildings. 212 West 124th Street is 100% affordable while 224 West 124th Street is one of the premier luxury rental buildings in Harlem- one of New York City’s most historic and rapidly evolving neighborhoods.
Situated amid Harlem’s ongoing renaissance, the project is designed to be more than housing. It will serve as a vibrant community anchor, featuring a rooftop cultural center and proudly housing the LGBTQ Center of Harlem, creating a welcoming space for connection, expression, and support.
At its core, the development is rooted in affordability and inclusion. The high level of affordability of this development which sits in the heart of Harlem ensures that long-time residents can remain part of the community as the neighborhood continues to grow and transform.
Marcus Garvey Village represents a bold investment in Harlem’s future—where thoughtful design, cultural vitality, and equitable development come together to create lasting impact.
Total Project Cost: $375MM
